We hear the same story repeatedly.
"I took the MSF course in Palm Coast. Everyone in the course were already riding. I was really under pressure by instructors to keep up with the others. I ended up having an accident at the course and landed on my hand and sprained it. I did pass the written test but never went back to take the riding. It was 6 months before I had a chance to get on my own bike but I was too afraid to lose control. Now I am thinking about giving it another try but I would never want to be in a course where all the riders already know how to ride."
One of the many reasons students
come many miles out of
their way to come
to Volusia Motorcycle Training for training. We
understand and make the course FUN and challenging for new
riders and experienced riders.
One of the premises of
the MSF course is "Gross to fine motor skills". Meaning a
student works up from gross motor skills to fine motor
skills - fine tuning.
Experienced riders are coached to develop fine skills while new
inexperienced riders are coached from gross-to-fine motor-skill development.
Gross motor skills must be attended to first, followed by finer motor skills.
Our ridercoaches recognize individual student capability and work
hard to help students develop skills (without the boot
camp atmosphere). This is an adult learning environment,
students don't need to be chewed out, they are coached,
with emphasis on riding within their own limits.
Motorcycling is fun and motorcycle training should be
fun. If you're not smiling, we're doing something
wrong.low threat – high performance
- Students are challenged to develop their gross skills. This means that students will develop their fine skills on their own in a controlled environment. Rider coaches promote a
fun but challenging and safe environment.
At Volusia Motorcycle Training we take the extra time
to help students learn at their own pace. Experienced
riders learn finer motor skills.
