Welcome to motorcycle gloves.

Motorcycle gloves - style, comfort, safety and features |
Motorcycle gloves are essential - you have lots of nerve endings in your
fingers, you need to keep them safe and warm. Motorcycle gloves are high tech
now, water resistant, well ventilated and offer protection.
For abrasion resistance leather is your first choice. But there are excellent
textile riding gloves that offer armor protection. Some motorcycle gloves have a pre-curved construction
for easier use of the controls. Look at the stitching. Make sure the motorcycle gloves are heavily constructed. They may take a lot of abuse down the road.
Gloves do more than just protect you from a fall. Ask a Florida motor cop. Spend
a lot of time with the sun beating down on your exposed hands and your skin
becomes so thin a simple bump will make you bleed. Sun screen only goes so far.
TIP: Ok. you decided to head to the mountains and it's 30 degrees colder
than you planned for. You left your heavy duty winter gloves at home. They're
expensive and you don't want to run to the local motorcycle shop and shell out
big bucks for something you have at home. Wally-World comes to the rescue. There
are a couple of items you can purchase to make the ride more enjoyable. First a
set of latex gloves and put them on over the glove liners. If you're near the
the mountains they should have a snowmobile section - cheap snow mobile gloves
will do the trick, buy them extra large and wear them over your summer gloves.
While you're there hit the underwear section, get some thermal underwear.....lol |

| Summer gloves
|
Summer motorcycle gloves are usually
made of thin leather without a lining. Leather is
usually the safest in the even of a fall. They don't
offer much protection from the cold. |

|
| Fingerless gloves |
Fingerless gloves are not very useful
to bikers. In most cases the dexterity it allows
the fingers is not required. Fingerless gloves gloves are not useful in cold weather, finger can become numb.
Unless you are planning on picking your nose or a
military sniper, you might want to skip the fashion
statement these make. |

| Medium weight gloves
|
Medium weight gloves are just that, they are used to keep the hand and fingers warm in moderately cold weather.
They are often preferred over their heavy weight big
brothers because of the dexterity they allow. |
| |
|
| Winter gloves |
When temperatures drop, your
extremities freeze up first, hampering the operation of
motorcycle controls. Good winter gloves should keep your
fingers and hand warm without sacrificing much
dexterity. They should also be designed to protect
against impact. Hands can be particularly vulnerable to the cold. Gauntlet
style gloves will help you seal the gap between gloves
and jacket. |

|
| Rain gloves |
Most motorcycle gloves come with a
plastic or vinyl cover to protect the glove from rain.
These can be purchased separately if they didn't. |
