 Motorcycle boots are important safety gear not just a fashion statement.
Motorcycle boots should be comfortable, offer protection from exhaust and engine heat and have a non-slip sole
that has a rugged tread pattern that grips well.
We're not going to spend a lot of time of motorcycle boots here.
Just make sure you're not hitting the road with sneakers, or flip
flops - you know the risks - you decide.
Western style "cowboy" boots may not be your best option,
particularly if they have leather soles. Most good motorcycle boots have reinforced stitching, ankle protection and
some have a shifter pad and non-slip soles. Your riding style and the type of bike you ride will dictate what kind of motorcycle boots.
Water-proofing is great, nothing like soggy feet. |
 Remember,
part of your ride may be going somewhere and walking around. You
should be able to walk in your motorcycle boots comfortably or pack
a pair of comfortable walking shoes.
